As for Stalingrad, yeah. St. John's has always had the unfortunate condition of not giving a 🞵🞵🞵🞵 what the city looks like from the water. That's the backside for us. It's always been the backs of buildings because of the hills. It'd be different if we had terraces with buildings only on one side, facing out to the water, but almost all of our streets have buildings on both sides, and the next street is far enough downhill that all you can see from the water is the backside of the buildings on the street above. Generally unattractive.
Those buildings below the glass one, the plain concrete ones. On the other side, they look like this:
