Any idea how soon there will be an announcement about 19th and Arch?

I was told it will be 3 towers. Not sure if that is the plan, and if they will be built in phases or all at once. One tower will be offices for Comcast, the second will be office with no tenant named, and the third will be residential.

You mean a three tower complex will be "Comcast 3"? How do you know these things? Also, I would assume they wouldn't be as tall as the other comcast buildings, correct?

I'm trying to get a better understanding of the footprint these towers will sit on. I know the Children Advocates building will be torn down, how about the Russell Byers Charter school on Arch and the 2 story Davis Co. building ? Will those too be torn down to make way for this development ?

Yes, they will all be torn down along with the building on the corner of 20th and Arch. The rowhomes along 20th Street will remain.

I heard only one tower will be "Comcast 3."

Nothing will be as tall as either of the current Comcast Towers.

This is the perfect site plan.

So with all of that space, why wouldn't they want to build higher? Is there any reason not to? Wishful thinking over here...

None of this is correct. No such plans exist. Most likely, the Byers School will take additional classroom space in the Child Advocates building.

Can't build supertall there do to shadowing Logan Square from the southern sun. And with so much acreage they can get a lot of square footage out of shorter buildings. Go to the link below to see a Frank Gehry project in LA that would prove a perfect example for that size lot.

People have heard some variation of this from many sources, including through LSNA. Perhaps not plans, but strong notions. It seems like Caruso always wants to pour cold water on this kind of information. But the way he does it screams obsession with non-disclosure rather than trying to be actually informative about the state of the site. LPT has acquired almost that entire block. No one does that without at least having notions or having had some kind of conversation about possible use, so Caruso's claims are not credible.

Scrolling through his posts, he seems highly credible. Will just have to wait and see if anything happens over next few months.

13 of 14 posts are specific to the inner workings of Liberty developments which makes me thing he works there. Several of his last posts have specifically been denying that Liberty has any machinations for a block that they have acquired most of in the middle of Center City.

I second this, he seems personally invested in his post about LPT.
