Lol I also forgot to say that Vancouver is 2.6 Million.
2.5 Million is FAR too low an estimate, BC is leading Western Canada's Economy
on the whole @ the Moment & their was a huge population surge for the Province this year as of July 1st, & BC is set to have 4.8 Million People early next year easy.

Even the silliness of arguing angels on the head of a pin had some metaphorical beauty.

This I don't get.

Cool Old Montreal shots, for some reason they make that area look tiny.

Yeah, Old Montreal is not that big. It's compact. I don't know about "tiny" though.

Same scale:

It just looks tiny in those shots compared to how large it feels when you walk around it. I didn't realize it was that compact.

The 6ix, Hogtown, Big Smoke, Muddy York, Broadway North, Methodist Rome, The City that Works, The Megacity, Toronto.
(Population Metro 6.3 Million, GTA 6.9 Million Almost).
PS NEVER Trust any population stats coming from Chadillac, people that follow me on the Statistics Canada Thread know I am THE Go to Population guy, Chad usually tends to be wrong & causes us to miss out on opportunities Nationally because he lies about our Population to many of his friends overseas.

Generally, I find the classic lake view of Downtown Toronto's skyline to be the least impressive, especially now that the Financial District's more distinct range is being shrouded by glass boxes, but I do really like the view from lakeside when landing at the Toronto Islands Airport. From the raised vantage point, you get to see the layers of density that radiate northward, while still getting the lake and the Financial District and all the new developments within easy view. It's a win-win.

It'll be interesting to see what the new census numbers for DT Toronto are. Last census DT Toronto (5 sq miles) had a population of 175 064 (Pop density - 35 000/sq mile). With so many new towers it could be over 200 000 now. Pop density would be over 40 000 per. over 5 sq miles. That's a bustling downtown.

For comparisons sake, Vancouver's equivalent DT area (5.3 sq miles) had a population of 163 753 (density 31 000/sq mile). Vancouver's DT population will have risen significantly too, with projects in the peninsula, and the massive redevelopment of SE False Creek. But I would think Toronto has widened the gap between the 2 cities.
