As you well know, I have been to Edmonton a lot, and not once has anyone ever said "let's go out to Garneau, Westmount, or Alberta Ave." So I wonder why that is?
I don't know why the specific people you know here don't bring up perfectly valid destinations, that's something you'll have to ask them.

However, I will say that 124th St (in Westmount) and 109 St and various other spots in Garneau are incredibly popular. Next time you're up here, maybe check out a flick at the Garneau Theatre, grab some coffee at Leva or Transcend, chill out at the original Remedy Cafe, grab a sandwich at Farrow, a poutine at La Poutine (original, I know), some vegan grub at Noorish, or a dinner at the always buzzing Sugarbowl. Or on 124th, you could hit MEC (I know you guys have one), Daravara, Remedy, Urban Diner (just off 124), Bernard Callebaut, Dwell Modern, Koutouki, random vintage shops, or in the summer, the outdoor market. Both Garneau and Westmount also have fantastic pre-war residential streets with something Calgary actually doesn't have a lot of -- tree canopies.

Goodbye haters. I'm removing the negativity from my life, and this place is consumed with negativity. I just don't need it anymore as I'm finally starting to be happy and work my way out of depression. Tonight made me realize that this forum constantly brings out the worst and most boastful parts of me, and seeing the shit that for some reason people are saying about me in threads I hadn't even looked at in ages, goes to show that it brings out the worst most petty parts of many of you as well. Even though I've been the biggest contributor of national content on this forum for years, you guys for some reason, just need to keep picking on me because of things I said years ago. Keep making fun of me in all the threads I don't post in though, I'm sure it makes you all feel so big and superior. Here's a news flash, you're trolling a 25 year old on an urban development forum on the internet. Trust me, you ain't shit.

Toronto - 6.2 million people

Montreal - 4.1 million people

Vancouver - 2.5 million people

Calgary - 1.5 million people

Edmonton - 1.4 million people

Ottawa - 1.3 million people

My god, leaving this place forever almost feels like leaving a shitty job. If only I could do some bongo beats on Molson Export's head on the way out like Homer Simpson did. Man, a guy can dream.

The internet certainly does something to people. For one thing, it suppresses civility and respectful behaviour. I notice it in myself. If you are leaving Chad, its too bad. I've noticed the challenges you have received and caused. But you have come across as a well meaning and worthy person. So, good luck.

If you can't participate because of the asinine behaviour of others, its right that you leave. BUT, as you grow and mature, I hope you get to the point where idiotic behaviour, doesn't just run off your back, but becomes something you don't even notice. These forums are largely a waste of space and time. The photographs and information about projects, construction processes and the like, this is what is worth coming here for. The opinion? Well, really, who cares about the opinions of 'ghosts' on the internet? Not worth any emotional engagement.

Again, good luck. Enjoy Calgary and all the rest. As a straight guy, I'll be standing with you as we all face the big stuff - human rights and equality in the era of President Trump. Thank the universe for the 49th parallelaluyah!

Everything is good Chad (except ur population estimates as usual). Ottawa's Metro is closer to 1.4 Million. (As its like 1.36 @ least by now). & Toronto's is closer to 6.3 Million. The GTA is nearly 6.9 Million right now as it is.

Honestly the trollishness is like half the reason I'm here. It's amusing how worked up they get about the most foolish things. Like a cat chasing a laser, they'll never achieve anything.
Also, I think that might possibly inclue the Brantford skyline up in the top right corner (a couple buildings on the horizon look tall, and I don't think Ancaster has any tall buildings).

I am always amazed at how green and forested all of Canada's major cities appear.

All of them have these prominent city cores that seem to directly transition into thick canopies.

lot of green cities in North America.

At least this time Chad is somewhat accepting of his trollish behaviour. Of course, he still thinks he has a higher moral cause when it comes to his trolling.I guess ti will take a few more retirements.

Even though I never muted him, he seemed to rack up a large number of enemies here... I'm not sure why. All the best Chad...
