Yeah, IIRC they began demolition in the spring after the final season.

Funny thing about the Target is that the company built a rather large and elaborate store on a part of the site, but it ended up shutting down just a few months later when the chain pulled out of Canada.

So I just noticed, the canopy doesn't cover to the front row along the sidelines??? Never mind front row, the top row of lower bowl? The most expensive seats, except for suites, are left out in the rain? Not to take away from a beautiful new facility, but that's a disappointment.

But great show to send off Taylor Field!

That is correct. Something like the first 25 rows at the 55 are not covered, although more are covered as you move to the goal lines. The lower bowl has between 30-33 rows. The north upper deck is covered.

It's been known for quite some time that it doesn't cover much of the lower bowl (that would taken a much more massive cantilever).

However, regarding the top rows of the lower bowl, there is a slight separation for these seats from the main lower bowl and these seats are indeed under the roof. Mind if wind is pushing rain from the other direction even people a couple metres into the roof-protected areas may still get wet.

That graphic doesn't look 100% accurate. The roof covers appx row 20 and up of the lower bowl (and the club/suite seating). Not all the way to the sideline but more than the picture reflects.

I think it is more like 25-27 at the 55 yard line based on personal observation.

Do you think vehicles will be able to exit Exhibition Park driving from the parking lots south of the Brandt Centre proceeding east onto Elphinstone St.? I see they have a drive way in the newly poured sidewalk along Elphinstone, towards the south end of the Stadium. It would make sense to me to help clearing the parking lots of traffic in a speeder fashion. What do you think??

I doubt it. Elphinstone will be closed on game day from Victoria to Dewdney according to preliminary plans in the media. The buses will be using Elphinstone. Taxi stands are supposed to be in the closed road zone as well, likely in the more southern and northern blocks closed.
