National has suspended its direct flights to the Caribbean from St. John's. It was working in partnership with our provincial airline, hilariously called Provincial Airlines, and offered connections between PAL flights around Labrador and the island and the Caribbean.

They owed YYT around $190K so YYT seized one of their planes.

God only knows. These days, we're so developing world I wouldn't have been at all surprised to see it seized and turned into a welfare Air Force One for the government.

Not that unusual. The same thing happened with Zoom when it was about to go under. Normal thing when an airline does not pay its bill. The fuel company demands cash payment and the airport seizes the aircraft.

Similar thing happening off the west coast of BC just now with two cargo ships that have an owner that is bankrupt.

i flew on the bombardier CRJ705 from calgary to vancover the other day, what a horrible airplane, my window seat had no window, i don't think any of the windows lined up with any of the seats lol. the ceiling height is so low, you bump your head when you try to stand up and the overhead bins are pretty useless. Its not the worst but was a pretty poorly designed airplane

The 2x2 seating is nice but I agree on the windows sitting so low and not lining up well with the seats. It's terrible for looking outside but inside is relatively comfortable.

My thoughts too, I hate the discomfortable angle of the Windows to look out, particularly when on the ground, but otherwise it's ok for an hour or so flight. I once spent 3hrs in one, and was feeling cramped by the end, but never had a problem on the shorter hops.
