So far mine hasn't been delayed, fingers crossed. I saw a couple coming out of the building this past week when I drove by after work, so I'm fairly confident inspections are happening, it may just have been a stroke of bad luck that the city inspection fell on the same day as the walk through.

Just a warning to people who haven't done their inspections, in case you didn't read the full letter. Only the buyer(s) are allowed, you CANNOT bring your family (including your children), friends, professional inspectors, or your realtor (if you used one) to your inspection. I find this quite restrictive, but oh well. Check with someone knowledgeable about what to look for before you go if you don't know yourself.

And for those who is going to do a walk thru, I've started noticing from craigslist photos that for some odd reason, there doesn't seem to be a single electrical outlet by kitchen counters. Why is that? is it hidden?
The photos I've seen were taken from the real tower, not the presentation centre.

You have yours tomorrow right? Can you let us know how it goes, maybe we will finally learn our completion date, or at least the week.

So we did walk through today and were impressed with quality of finish. A few superficial defects were found both by us and the inspector who took us. he marked them, made notations, and assured us they would be repaired.
There are numerous outlets under the upper kitchen cabinets, which we prefer, instead of having them spoil the look of the marble backsplash.
Our inspector thinks completion date should be near the end of Nov.

Congrats on completion date soon and for answering my question!~
So you mean the outlets are built under the cabinet meaning when you plug in things, you plug it upwards?

Well at least they have done a good job on it, makes the delays a little bit easier to handle. Did you get to see the rooftop area?

It's good to hear the quality meets your expectations, I got to see Met 1 (also Concord), and noticed quite a few minor deficiencies, but as a whole quite polished. I had the unique opportunity to view half a dozen units in that building when it had just been completed.

On the flip side 1 developer I've noticed must have hired poorly or cheaped out on the finishing contracting was Onni's recent Block 100 development.

I noticed: Uneven/dips in the bedroom flooring, really noticeable gaps between the baseboards and the floor, poor placement of recessed lighting, bulkheads continuing from the kitchen and ending in the middle of the room, overrun/cracked/crooked(lines) paint within the unit and in common areas, poor concrete work on the exterior of the building ~ not level (noticed water pooling in areas outside the entrance), lines between concrete slabs are jagged and not straight.

570 SF one bedroom is hardly micro, and at $1,000 per month is significantly cheaper than what you would find north of the Fraser.

I think relatively speaking, it is small. The floor plan indicates 515 sq. ft inside and 55 sq. ft. outside. Having no real living room space and having to walk through your kitchen to go to the bathroom is something I personally do not miss. Definitely cheap as it should be.
