the second tower is taller than the first now. There will be at least 3 more towers on the skyline very similar in height to this second tower in the next few years, no wonder people mistook this to be downtown.

This view is going to radically change over the next 5 years or so. All the Amazing Brentwood towers, the Gilmore towers and then even the Concord Brentwood towers will probably be in this view on the right.

FYI - the title is out of date. The final two towers will be 48 & 42 floors, as opposed to 43 & 39. (45 fl. - Complete, 48 fl. - UC, 48 & 42 fl. - Proposed)

The complete tower is 149 meters.

The tower u / c will be quite a bit taller. 176 meters to room height, and 188 meters to spire height.

I would have thought that there would be overseas investors willing to pay that kind of price. Is something changing, somewhere, somehow?

That's not unheard of and might actually be a deal especially if they are big. Ours is only 1400 sqft (plus an almost1000 sqft patio), but was on the market earlier this year for $1.6M. It obviously didn't sell and ended up being rented to us, but those are prices for Burnaby penthouses today.

Klazu, I'm curious why you are renting a fancy penthouse instead of buying something? Anything to do with the market?

Simply because renting is the only way to living larger right now. #donthave1million to buy anything and not willing to take such loans.

Lol why not live medium? Not to be your mom, but unless I plan on getting really rich very soon the Asian in me says to save up for that 20% downpayment. Maybe I got in at the peak of the market and will regret it, who knows.

This is impressive. Definitely tallest. It's interesting how you can see different high rise area. From Lougheed to Surrey Central to Edmonds area, Metrotown and of course Brentwood area...even the Joyce Collingwood area is starting to come up
