It's strange...The site says DTLA, but the renderings show 1111 tower in front of Aon and PWC which would make this near Hollywood. Massive oversight on the artists part?

That's not the tower in the Fashion District, it's a separate - and new - proposal, and appears to be in City West, bordering the 110. The Fashion District one is 14 stories and is detailed here:

Wait! Pico and Albany??? That would be just west of the 110 freeway. Is this correct? That far south???

Appears to be the site of an old LAUSD storage facility that has been for sale for awhile. Which is technically in Pico Union, not City West.

Or perhaps it is on the north side of Pico, opposite of the LAUSD facility? Where there are numerous old one story warehouse style buildings? I've noticed in the last couple weeks one at the corner of 12th and Albany Street that may be undergoing demolition. And yes, that area is definitely the eastern border of Pico-Union.

Apex 2 won't be visible because it is behind the Ritz-Carlton. And from looking at the Metropolis webcam, Tower 3 has topped out, since it is only a bit taller than Tower 2. This was done in Illustrator.

Also, I apologize in advance cause I have no idea how to resize the image.

Comparing that to the skyline I remember from LA Law intro...

This is awesome. One of the fastest and cheapest ways to increase frequent transit routes in LA is to overlay frequent rail service on central segments of Metrolink tracks. Metrolink probably isn't the right organization to do it (too sprawling, underfunded, and a complex governing structure). If they can effectively partner with Metro (keeping frequent service within LA county) this could be a really great opportunity.

The now USC Tower stood isolated from the DTLA skyline for decades, once these South Park towers are complete the USC tower will be a nice extension to the skyline. We've come a long way folks.

Yeah the cycle has been over for a while now.

But yeah the USC will finally be joined by other buildings and won't be so lonely. The Ritz too stood by itself for a good while.

South Park is truly developing its own skyline. 2 towers built or under development over 200'. 5 towers over 400', 3 towers over 500', and one over 600'. That's just everything South of Olympic. From many angles it will stand apart and very prominently from the main bulk of the skyline. Add in the proposed towers that are still in the pipeline in the area, and we may have to start identifying it as the South Park Skyline. LOL.
