As much as I like this project, I think it's a damn shame that they have that big blank CMU wall facing the Beltline. Can't they have a Starbucks window or something open out onto the trail?

TBH I hadn't even noticed that. Maybe this is a good candidate for another living wall treatment.

this sounds good! i always wondered how places such as C&S Beauty Supply, or the 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 phone store next door, or the 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 clothing store next to that managed to pay their rents each month. Also, holy 🞵🞵🞵🞵 the Metro Mall property is part of this deal! so they will probably be kicked out.. thank god.. people might actually want to go downtown again

I'm sure most of us would love to see a higher level of retail there but its my understanding that those businesses do high volume of business.

There are probably historic facades under most if not all of those buildings. Agreed, this could be a huge boost for downtown.

This going to sound ignorant, but I have always associated adaptive reuse projects to be just putting lipstick on a pig. With that said, almost every adaptive reuse project conceived or completed in this development cycle are as good or better than ground up developments. My whole perception has changed.
