Whoa, hold the fuck on...

I declare this to be the best damn urban shot in Canada that I have ever seen. There's a slightly aerial-esque shot of Queen West somewhere on this board that I used to think was the best, but this beats that, and relegates it to number two.

And in terms of skylines, I think we need to clearly define a new category: "internal skyline shot." Meaning, not from afar taking in the whole, but from within, or just taking in a part of it.

In that category, this one is a winner. Wow.

That Montreal shot is killer.

Here's a recent one taken by Benito from Urban Toronto that really impressed me.

Call me crazy, but this is my favorite view of Montreal. Love the urban meets nature in a very organic sense in the foreground and the view of the skyline in the background.

Looks nice. We're used to seeing this view for Calgary, Vancouver, and Edmonton. What makes Montreal great is the juxtaposed styles and influences built over the years and the chaotic harmony that results, not necessarily the city's reaction to nature and geography.

Way back, these photo-heavy threads used to be tagged with '56k beware' for people with dialup connections... we might have to bring back the warning for those who are watching their data usage.

What's the construction fencing for?

P.S. We need a night time shot from this angle with the cross on top of the church glowing red.

Or at least use spoiler tags a little more liberally! I don't browse on my phone but it's annoying to have to wait for photos I've already seen load for the page to take me to the new posts.
