Is Tower B actually a go or are they just building the parking structure to grade for now?

Pretty sure it's a go, they have secured large tenants in the podium.

Remember when we used to talk about buildings?

This is a construction thread is it not. So quit your bitching and moaning. I don't really know the rules, but couldn't the mods just remove the useless pages and pages of personal attacks and discussion about literally nothing that's obviously not getting anywhere? Feel free to delete my post as well so we have no proof that this embarrassment ever happened. I assume most posters are adults? I'm pretty sure these petty online arguments are best suited for junior high girls, not adult functioning members of society?

Also, if you're bored and waiting to see some buildings, google image search "beacon south quarter". This is my hood at the moment (in South Dublin). And fun fact, most of the buildings are owned/managed by a Canadian company. I can't help but think many of the elements from this development should have been incorporated into brewery district. The development includes limited surface parking, huge underground parkades with separate entrances for commercial and res, retail on main floors, offices on mid floors, res on upper floors, mostly 8-10 stories with a few random towers, and a children's museum in a pedestrian only central square surrounded by coffee shops and fast food style restaurants. It's not perfect, but has much better emphasis on pedestrian flow and separation from traffic.

Guys, a reminder. This is the mod team in agreement. This site, and this thread, is concerned about urban development, highrises and so forth. When we hold get-togethers in the fleshworld, the topic of discussion will centre around development and the sort.

That said, there is some insularity going on with people pitching follies (architectural and whatnot) at each other over the imaginary lines in city centre. If you're getting all the things you need in Oliver, I'm sorry but that is downtown enough to be downtown. It is at the very least within the Edmonton skyline.

The discussion on tenancy and leasing was fine - it is on-topic and of interest in this forum. We have discussed these topics before in this thread and the previous instalments.

Try re-phrasing that mumble jumble into the form of a question. Have no idea what you are trying to convey.

^^ Try asking the guy if he could rephrase what he means. Instead of being a jagoff.

Seriously did someone at Epcor reroute sewage into the water supply? Like everyone has got out of the wrong side of the bed for a few weeks now.

I've noticed that pattern on here for a while now... Actually well since I've been on here... 1998... But it has gotten much worse as of late... Hence why I read SSP daily but rarely post...

My interpretation is that you're asking if this is the final form of the podium, because it doesn't look like its the same size as the in the render. Is that correct?

Correct)) I do not see podium at all so far.. as it seems all floors the same size as per renderings podium is way larger. While Stantec is building everything at once.
PS. My mumbling is being explained by my European accent) happy Thanksgiving haha

The remainder of the podium will be framed up with steel I believe.

This is why the market is cautious with buying pre-sales. Too many of these situations.

Certainly a risk/reward piece, but again, caveat emptor, due you due diligence with the developer more than anything...who, what, where, when, how.
