Rams/Huskies looked good on TV... I'm surprised they didn't fill the lower bowl right up considering demand was reportedly sky high for tickets.

Many people took the opportunity to walk around and check the place out. I also think the number did not include the patio at the south end that filled up after the second half.

All the tickets were sold, lots of people were walking around/watching from the observation points between the levels and from the South endzone standing area.

Also, with the temporary vendors, lines were a little long in some places to get food, etc.

A couple of us were talking and if the Rams continue to do well and can secure a home playoff game, it would be interesting to use it as a higher capacity test event... Could go pretty well if marketed properly, but I don't now if they wanted to have another test even so close to this one.

Maybe it's just me but does the stadium seem small on the inside? it's almost odd but the place just looks massive on the outside but tiny from the inside. way smaller feel than IGF. it's great it really is great for rider fans and the organization im happy for you but I do prefer IGF over NMS.

I think it's just you; it didn't seem small inside at all (being that I was there). Felt really open and airy with everything in the roof being white (beams, fabric, speakers, etc), and also felt like you're right on top or things from the spectator PoV. I felt closer to the action at the new stadium than I do in the old stadium (I sat in about the same row back from the field that I normally sit in).

There were a few minor things they need to iron out, but overall .

Also... I'm pretty sure everyone on the internet knows you prefer IGF by now...

Because according to some studies it may cost 3 times as much to maintain as an artificial field. You can't have any (or very much) community usage with a turf field, it's too damaging. Turf fields are damaged not so much by the sport but by the amount of usage without time to rest or bed in after the original or large scale install.

Contrary to popular belief football is not the most damaging sport to turf, soccer is. Soccer has digging in, quick turns, and the goalkeeping areas, whereas a football game is all solid, crunching together. Again contrary to all the sky is falling talk the Argos playing at BMO hasn't damaged the turf as the naysayers stated.
