Interested to know where you got your info from too because according to Concord Pacific, both East and West are sold out fully, no more units left.
All these projects are not terribly difficult to move contrary to what some may think. Evolve for example as of August 30th only had 14 units available. Not sure the number now but it is likely less and near sold out. Prime is sold out. Alumni only has pretty much penthouse units remaining. etc.
6 month construction delays don't jeopardize projects, construction delays are a normal thing for projects these size. The fact that the projects in Surrey Central don't sell out in 1 hour like you get in Burnaby or sometimes Vancouver isn't an indication of it being difficult to sell, but actually an indication of the market in Burnaby and Vancouver being stupid and just not normal. Any developer who can complete a tower with near if not all units sold is a happy camper even if they didn't sell out in 1 hour.
Heck when Concord Pacific took over Park Place across the street, they inherited a project that was years behind schedule, went through 2 other company's hands, and the world financial crash, and ultimately when completed only had 21 units out of 700+ left to sell (3%). I don't think they were crying and those remaining units sold over the next year.
