If people have a problem with Southcore, what will they think about Lake-Core it will have more towers and taller towers than Southcore.

All these towers are just adding layers to the skyline, no problems really.

Definitely not the most flattering angles of the Toronto skyline. Still a lot of 1970's concrete blocks and lowrise that lo need to be demolished to make way for newer buildings and towers.

Nah, they should build around them for now. Keeping them show's there's some history and layers there.

^ caltrane74, glad you're not a planner in this city!

I scrolled quickly and mistook that last photo for Vancouver. Comfortably dense foreground with lots of buildings trailing off in the distance. The shiny Minto tower added to the effect.

Yes... it doesn't look like Toronto is that hard up for space that older towers need to start coming down right now. The best cities keep their older building stock.

Nice - three distinct tiers of density in Lower Mount Royal, Beltline and the commercial core.

It looks a lot better than City Place imo. Thankfully, this area is only now seeing significant height added. It missed those dark years where huge swaths of downtown were inundated with a sea of sterile boring glass boxes/spandrel. E Condos and 1 Eglinton East are both much better and a move away from that aesthetic.

Unhappy Just something I took.

Here's the suburb city of Sauga, and it's condo-dominated skyline. As you can see, there's 3 40+ storied condo buildings under construction with 3 more buildings (35,40,50 floor buildings) beginning demolition.

I'm waiting for Lake-Core... Buildings taller than anything ever built in Toronto.

I dare saw the greatest skyscraper development this city will ever see.

I happen to really like ICE. Very nice design and height for 'Southcore'; just don't like that it blends into the couple dozen other buildings that share the same palette.
