Nice looking. Modern and not 1 but 2 lamps.

Gawd we have to ditch those 10 ton trash receptacles.

But it exactly matches the actual pole. Your post is not the right design and thank goodness that's such a 90s design.

The base doesn't match the footings. The lights would have looked better if they were made of stainless steel.

Worst trash cans in history. Please at the very least replace them with those 1990s looking capitals.

They have replaced a lot of them, with the black metal ones that have a loose ring at the top. But you can still see the stoneware along Jasper.

p.s. I like the look of the actual posts, assuming the small bar over the sidewalk is a light, a lot more than the prototype. The fin just...I don't know.

Could they have ditched the pedestrian light and now it is just an extension to hang banners on and the like?

That is not what was the result of the community consultation process. Nor was the current design vetted with the public. A change has been made and the City has not explained why - and they should. Did the original supplier go into receivership? What is the basis for the decision to go with these poles (which look silly on the bases they are on). Frankly, as is - I am concerned the City is "at is again" screwing things up - even the most simple.
