^ But who knows what will happen with PSB? Remember, it's almost totally vacant and the city doesn't know what's in store. Renovation? Sale? Partial demolition? omplete demolition?

I think it's a great building and it should remain standing, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of the city suddenly deciding it wants to demolish it. That could freeze a skywalk connection while the city figures out what to do next with that land.

They need to pour a 10 inch concrete wall between the 2 buildings.

If the City decided to demo the PSB, it would sever the existing skywalk connection too. I doubt they'll demo that place, but you never know. I would think a complete rehab would be cheaper. But we all know how the Police headquarter thing went. Maybe if its a somewhat regular office building, they can figure it out. The City should move in all their scattered departments, which I think we've discussed before.

One thing to note on the tower, the police use the front entrance and parking lane quite frequently. I think I seen the had it completely ripped up yesterday. But that might have been a dream.. been a long week.

^ I noticed the ripped up lane in front of the PSB, it wasn't just a dream

I find it hard to believe that it could make more sense to keep leasing all that scattered office space as opposed to fixing up the office tower that the city for better or for worse already owns. The planning department alone would probably fill a good chunk of it.

The front part of the driveway at Garry is being taken up to remove the obsolete oil tank that was fueling the old Stand By Gen Set for the 266 Graham complex.

MAYBE they could move so many (/all) of the scattered offices to the tower that it would be too small that they'd have to expand the floors forward right to the street edge with Graham and could just keep the driveway under it (a la Radisson). MAYBE.

Speaking of the new PSB. Anyone know when/if these bollards are ever going up. Those jersey barriers have got to go. If I could talk to them: it'd be cool to see some bollards that are functional but also add some design/life to the building. Picture a standard round bollard but maybe the cylinder extends up above the filling a little bit so they can put small plants/flowers in them all around the building. That'd be awesome.

I GUess that's where might have some different preferences... I think the Pearl is nice, but perhaps no nicer than SKyCity.

I'd much rather have Residences at Hotel Georgia in Vancouver or the YC Condos in Toronto, however.

gosh darn it I'm tired of this nonsense for reals... if something changes to their timetable I'm sure they will announce it they are 50 percent sold and 8 months away from their start date..

Take it easy lol. All anyone expressed is reasonable doubt. We also all have reasonable faith that it will go ahead.

The reasons mentioned for either were quite understandable. Can we get past that?

And for the last time, although we're not major skeptics, that's what realtors and developers always say. Their presales thrive on interest, momentum and believability. They say they're on time, and that "that unit is in high demand buy it QUICK before they're gone!!!".

They could promise a skating rink on the roof just to get people in the door.

If they are delayed, they won't mention it until after 50% is cleared, because they need those sales.

I think this is going ahead, doesn't mean i'm buying every word I hear.

Funny this was posted a couple days after I mentioned this. Police want to work with the city on designs for bollards to incorporate them with streetscaping/bike lane enhancements and additions so they don't have to just put ugly bollards all the way around.

I remember red was sold blue was cooling off I forgot what green represented

at this rate I cant imagine how this wouldn't proceed way to many investors and were still looking at 7 months before their expected construction start date..

so if both 300 main and sky city start in 2017 we going to have 4 or 5 cranes up along graham ave at the same time.. un heard of... not to mention a jets playoff runn loll

Winnipeg is on the come up I'm telling you

Red - firmed sales
Yellow - cooling off
Blue - combo
Green - hold

So going by the poster there's 388 units, if 188 are sold, that's a bit shy of 50%

The website shows 380 units. Maybe that's rounded down from 388. If it was 380, they're 1 sale shy. 1 sale and finalizing the hold I guess.

Just counted the board and there's 388. So yeah not at 50% yet.
