Yeah, I thought about posting an afternoon photo, but thought that might be overkill. Plus, I've found my pictures are much better in the morning as the afternoon sun casts shadows that obscure the details. Here's from this morning:

when they lift out the horizonatal stabilizers how do they keep the other half in place? The span of the pit is covered with two sections joined by bolts. I didn't see the removal operation in action but I assume only one individual section can be removed at a time. Do they use the smaller crane to hold up the remaining section?

Its good to see the structural columns starting to be formed up. For me that says the work is moving upward.

They're welded to whalers on the walls. They build cribbing under one side while they cut and remove the first section. They also use a hydrolic ram to remove 3 inch spacers at the ends after cutting the welds.

Hey Whu215, do you happen to know when the core will be at street level? Someone posted a few weeks ago that someone at the site told them December, any idea if that's correct? To me it looks like things are beginning to progress pretty quickly - over the last month or so. (if not allowed to answer specific questions, I understand). Thanks.

That sentence is confusing but I could see it being street height by end of October.
