I've noticed over the years my pictures showing up here and I thought I might as well join your forum.

I'm glad you guys like my pictures enough to share them here. The skyline is ever-changing and presenting new opportunities to shoot.

Anything in particular you're looking for? I'm not yet familiar with the layout and function of the site. I think I noticed this was a thread just on the FMC Tower. Are things broken down by specific building, is there a place to just post random pics of the Philly skyline and such?

Slightly modified copy of the PM below for anyone else wanting to know some general navigation help:

This link will take you to a filtered forum page that has all the individual Philadelphia threads. Any building of 12 floors or higher gets its own thread.

Stickied at the top of the list are two threads: highrise development (IX) and metro development. Highrise development is where discussion about proposed or future projects go. This is a great place to post skyline pictures.

The metro link is for stuff happening in the surrounding counties.

Lastly, there is the lowrise/general developments thread. Typically for anything under 12 stories. Sometimes non highrise stuff goes here (capping the expressway, a tax proposal to help/hurt development, business moving into the city, what to do about Wendy's).

If all you are interested in is Philly, you can stop reading here.

The link I sent you is for all Philadelphia stuff, but the forum in general covers things around the world. There's a many:one relationship between thread tags so you can find the same thread in other places. For example, if you navigate from the "FORUM" link under the website banner, you'll see a few more links such as "supertall construction", "highrise construction", and "highrise and supertall proposals". If it's > 300 meters and under construction, it'll be in supertall (CITC is the only Philly building that qualifies), "highrise" is >=12 stories so most of the Philly stuff will also show up there. Proposals covers all heights for any building that doesn't meet the definition of under construction (rebar, first pour, pylons, etc).

Philly's Growing Majestic Skyline

Pretty cool view, great massing and density. I wonder what this view will look like when CITC is done.

Also, a little birdy tells me that Comcast3 is well along in planning and construction costing!

^Would love to see more density/height on the N. Broad axis. That would pay big visual dividends from a number of important angles.
