I think they are going to light up the crown at night for sure. Not sure how it'll look like in daytime ..

Is there any plan of having the ability to change the colour of the crown lighting? While I wouldn't want it over-the-top strobe effects or anything of the sort, the ability the change the colour in honour of specific days of the year or notable events would be positive I think.

Different colors of lighting would be cool, with classic off white as the color used most times.

As I am led to understand they'll be installing clear/transparent glass to pretty much complete the crown. I suspect they'll also be covering the inner browny/beige structure that rises up approx. 2/3rds of the crown with glass similar to that of most of the tower????

From the reddit link:

very cool looking space, if the inside area stays open, it could make for a great film shoot location

Or a nice publicly accessible observation area where one could purchase and enjoy a coffee/tea and some light desserts and then sit at a window side able to enjoy the view.

It really does look large enough for that!

I do not believe the elevators are designed to allow for a regularly open public viewing space, but it does seem that it was designed such that once in a while, a group could find their way up there. Hmmmm.

That'd be an awesome place to have...anything other than a private service corridor only ever accessed to maintain the crown lighting.

Well, if the building is half empty. Roppongi Hills's Mori Tower in Tokyo has a Museum and observatory on top, including roof access via stairs.
