Those must be the "Rare Collection of 38 Homes Coming Early 2017" printed on the hoarding: south side low-rise townhomes and north side mid-rise condos.

Looks like a slightly darker colour pallet. Could be a good sign.

As long as they continue with the current uniform spandrel in that color pallet, it could turn out decent.

Reminder...

I think the red strips on the renderings are wraparound Juliet balcony railings and glass enclosures (for the sliding glass doors already installed)

Funny that you think this is decent while deriding the Civic Plaza tower of Surrey......

There's a huge difference. This has a darker color pallet and spandrel doesn't cover 40% of the facade like it does on the hotel portion of 3 Civic Plaza. Also. the spandrel is broken up by using two tones.

PALETTE/PALLET

A “palette” is the flat board an artist mixes paint on (or by extension, a range of colors).

A “pallet” is either a bed (now rare) or a flat platform onto which goods are loaded.

Why not correct LeftCoaster as well while you're at it.
