Slide the City looked like a good time for all. I went last year, this year the slide seemed slower. Did anyone go both years ?

Its great the city is trying to turn it into the street festival but the booths below the slide need some desperate help. Mish mash of useless corporate booths and hippy stuff. A theme would be great, or just line Lonsdale with Food Carts, Music, and a beer garden.

Yeah I was a little underwhelmed. Prices are ridiculous, and they put it in a relatively weak slope. Agree the carts are a joke. There was some better stuff around 2nd. Wallace and McDowell looks even better up close btw

Is it in the new two storey building? Hope they do a better job than the Park Royal one, that one is surprisingly low budget.

I was just in Edgemont Village, my teenage hangout spot, and it's amazing how much high end development is there + Queens. I would love to live here:

Thanks vanman, I've always been impressed by Evelyn but it's so hard to take photos of it from off site.

Anyone know what's going in with Tatlow on Marine? They removed the signage and it looks like a new render has been posted, but no way I'm dealing with Lions Gate traffic to take a closer look.

They started demo-ing the sales centre at one point then suddenly stopped after putting a few sledgehammers through. Very weird.

edit: the site is gone too.

Looks like they were at DNV Design Panel in August with detailed application, maybe it's just delayed.

Wow, great pics of Evelyn! It's obviously hard to tell the original intended finishing level from the renderings, but it appears that Onni haven't noticeably cheapened the original Millennium Development/Arthur Erickson design.

This was the first time i had heard of the development and from looking at these pics i thought it seemed influenced by Erickson!
