Fully agree, except nice new, well-formed exposed concrete has a 10 month shelf life before it weathers to a streaked crappy black-grey and black. I continue to be surprised that there is still no product available to prevent this.

+1, it's looking sharp! However looking at the tower, are the opening window panels only the super small ones? I thought they learned better with windows from the 70's and 80's that give terrible air circulation in tiny openings.

Unfortunately what I thought was already the crown structure turned out to be another penthouse level (they are two-level?) and we will actually lose big part of the Downtown skyline. I am really surprised how tall Modello is.

That place is gonna look cooler in the future in the future when more buildings are put up. It will probably resemble Manhattan's Central Park, where there is a stark difference in scenery over one street.

For sure. And this is not the only cool view as I am constantly discovering new angles of Metrotown's great skyline. With all the new towers it will look amazing from all around Lower Mainland!

Yeah it looks like you'll be losing your view of Science World and BC Place. On the bright side I didn't realize that the pattern on the podium would be repeated on the penthouse level. Also looks like it will be illuminated at night.

Oh, it'll be a lot more than that once the Gold House towers come up.

I think the taller one closer to Beresford is about the same height as Modello, so that's some serious sight lines cut off.

And then you'll also have Belford just next door, further down the road - depending on how tall it is, of course.

They got everything right with Modello. Hopefully Boffo plans on building more highrises in Metrotown. My pics from today.
