Edmonton does not need to be a leader. When Edmonton decides to be a leader, it seems one project gets planned for all the changes, and the rest just continues as normal. Then when something goes wrong with the showcase, it is abandoned.

The curves aren't even done well in this neighbourhood with jogs and such.
With just marginally different road layout, and relaxing the 400m rule (the cirlces have 400m radii), you can serve the neighbourhood on a trunk that goes to more than Century Park, with 5 less stops.
If you want to end cut through traffic, make the central shortcut through the loop a bus trap. But the city should stop approving neighborhood plans that don't work for transit, and in neighbourhoods that are already built, should consider buying up strategic shortcuts for buses.
