I have one updated for July in the Austin U/C and Proposed Projects threads on Urban Planet. I have an updated August list almost ready to go. I was waiting for a few more updates (like Skyloft) before posting it. But I'll post it in a few days on here, UP and SSC.

Edit: Here's the link to my July Tallest Projects listing - scroll down to the July 2nd post. I usually update these once per month: https://www.urbanplanet.org/forums/t...6&_fromLogin=1

Does it include that surface lot or just the building? Not sure where the property line is.

Yes, that's Carmelo's. Maybe they can be on the first floor of a new highrise. Get a new swanky space for their restaurant.

I would be sad if that was building was demolished.

Did not know that. That's definitely a building with some history. I like keeping the old ones.

There's a big parking lot owned by Carmelo's. Maybe that's what they are checking for CVC. Keep Carmelo's and valet in the garage of the highrise next door.

According to a random CVC map I Googled. A CVC cuts across the northeast corner and along the eastern edge of the block. But most of the parking lot is unencumbered. So something tall could be built on the site.

Yeah, the 2 I see show about half the parking lot unencumbered. It's the SW corner of the lot if the square was cut into two triangles (NW to SE).

Maybe we get another triangle shaped tower?

The Tyndall condo project is well underway. Robertson Hill where that lonely house sat vacant for years is tore up real good.

The old house is still there. But it was fixed up and even has solar panels on the roof. It won't be demolished.

I noticed last night that the Jack-in-the-Box at South Lamar and Barton Springs is now closed and boarded up. Does anyone have any idea as to what's going on there? Hopefully it's a new development and not another conversion like the Taco Bell and Taco Cabana were.

Here's 2016 Rev. 9 of my list of Austin's tallest active projects that are at least 100' tall (or appear to be based on available information.) I usually just post these on Urban Planet, but I'll start posting my updates here. There are five status types:

U/C - Cement has been poured

Site Prep - Dirt is moving or utility work is underway

Site Demo - At least one structure on the site has been or is being demolished

Proposed - A specific project has been announced or has had building permit(s) filed with specific structure information

Planned - A project has been announced or has had building permit(s) filed but without specific structure information, more visionary in nature

Projects highlighted in green (as in go) are underway with financing in place. These can include projects with a Site Prep or Site Demo status.

Projects highlighted in yellow have been completed during the current calendar year and have been removed from the active projects count.
