Basically a desirable physical location associated with a newly released Pokemon phone app, where the user would want to frequent to get points. Sp the "gym" only exists in the app, but it's associated with a frequented physical location. Tbh, it would be a terrible reason to put up a fence. People should be enjoying the green space, not discouraged from using it.

I agree. Eviva was one of my favorites too. Yoo is a great development for upping the bar in terms of quality but it doesn't stand out design wise on the exterior. Related's tower isn't exactly earth shattering either. We need JPX's towers and Eviva to up the bar style-wise.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with what has taken place. Midtown is so different now. So far, almost all of the projects that I most wanted to see have happened or are happening. Azure on the park, Yoo on the Park, Alta at the Park, Related's Spring, Amli Arts Center, Greystar's Ascent, Post Millennium, Modera Midtown, Seventh Midtown, Trace Midtown, One Museum Place, and NCR headquarters have all come to fruition. If we could get Hanover Midtown, JPX's Buckhead and Midtown towers, and Eviva before this cycle ends I'd be happy as a lark.

That image isn't new, it's one of the originals from 2014. It was in an earlier post in this thread:

The Sprint store (a restaurant with outdoor dining according to the rendering ) is long gone. That space is a QuikTrip now.

I doubt Eviva has strength to deliever as Intregral struggle with financing for the Doraville project to move forward. They are not ready to graduate to commercial project developments and should stick with apartment developments that attracts Invest Atlanta grants for financing.

restoration of the medical arts building would be really huge for both downtown and what they're calling sono, being right at the head of peachtree going into downtown. i'm dying to see if this turns out to be anything real.

OMG I hope so...I love that building and Atlanta doesn't need to lost any historic towers at this point. We have a decent number of them but not so much compared to older cities. It's pitiful that no one has been able to refurbish this building in all the years I've lived here. Surely someone can come up with something before it falls in on itself.

The Medical Arts building and associated parking garage situation is not simple. For one thing it's a teardown...beyond repair. There was an article about a year ago on, I believe, Curbed concerning the complexities. Probably nothing will happen until the next generation.

This is an application for review and comment by the Atlanta Urban Design Commission on the National Register for Historic Places nomination for the building.

if they can restore centuries old buildings in europe, there's no reason the medical arts building is "beyond repair". the issue is whether someone is willing to front the cost to do it.

Yes, sadly I have given up hope on Eviva at this point.

Won't happen, either from private or public. The cost is too much. It's not like the Imperial Hotel. Also the Constitution building has no future, has to go. I'm starting to think the Clermont is a teardown. I hope I'm wrong on that one though, at least wait until Blondie retires.

Cousins-Integral project eyed for MARTA's Arts Center station

So now Integral is in bed with Cousins on another project when they have yet to move forward with 811 Peachtree or the Doraville project? Hopefully we see pics later today or tomorrow.

Quote:
Atlanta developer Cousins Properties Inc. (NYSE: CUZ) is expected to present plans for a new development to MARTA’s board of directors Thursday afternoon, according to an agenda released on the transit authority’s website.

MARTA’s board of directors is set to discuss a resolution authorizing negotiations with “Cousins-Integral Central Station LLC” for a parcel at the Arts Center station.

https://www.bisnow.com/atlanta/news/office/law-firm-movin-on-up-to-suntrust-plaza-address-63584

It's official the law firm at 880 west Peachtree is movin on up into Suntrust Plaza. That means 880 should be moving forward once they move out. That whole part of town is changing rapidly from a couple years ago.

Not likely. It was just renovated.

I am assuming that this is the other multi -tower project that someone hinted about a couple of weeks ago (98 14th being the topic of discussion).

Would be sweet if it's Arts Center TOD, but I was starting to think it could just be NCR HQ. Did our little birdy mention if the other two tower project was in the northern portion of Midtown? AMLI arts center is going to be a great addition to the area alone. Adding in one or two towers for a TOD would be awesome. Heck, even a mid-rise with heavy ground-floor retail would be awesome.

Wow, so what's the use? Is there a certificate of occupancy for apartments?

There have been many announcements about the Claremont being renovated and converted to a boutique hotel, but when I drove by it last week, it still looked like very little work had been done or was in progress.
