New Mosaic steals IG Field's lunch money.
Geez, BigD, don't get your panties in a bunch.... Looked to me that Trees' comment was made in fun, referencing the debate about NMS being a multipurpose facility vs. a pure football stadium.

As others have said, both facilities are very nice and huge improvements over what they replace.

Not sure how overall ticket sales are going but I do know that they are now being marketed by the Huskies as well. I already have mine through a Rams season ticket holder, though.

Good question - I just assumed they would all be snapped up so didn't really follow up on the idea of "available tickets".

First glimpse of the 500 capacity general admissions lounge at New Mosaic Stadium. They are using some of the old colored wooden benches from the old stadium. Nostalgic look, I like it.

I was wondering why our section had new seating backs this year... A little disappointing to be honest... If they allow people to purchase their seats from the old stadium, it's kind of a letdown to have newly installed boards instead of what we've been sitting on for years.

Must have ripped out a bunch of seating backs to use prior to the season starting.

I wish they would make this a permanent sports bar. It seems like such a waste that it will only be used 10 or 15 times per year

Yes they are! My bedroom is much brighter tonight. And I live in a high-rise east of Albert Street near College Ave. I'm not complaining though. It's really exciting to see NMS nearing completion.

Are they putting up the video boards on the north end zone wall?

Can't tell on webcam. How did you see this?

Less than 4 weeks to substantial completion. We should really see the finishing touches come together quickly now.

Maybe they will. Possibly other eating establishments will open up more often as well.

Except they have already designated it the Harvard Lounge.

You can see it on the far right side of the interior web cam. Looks like the north ribbon board is going in. I also wonder about padding given the proximity of that wall to the playing field.

That looks even better than it did in the renders....must be the seat back numbers.

That would be a good place to go watch other cfl games on the big screens and have a beer. And watch rider away games.

I know that on the virtual venue it shows that there is a video board on the north end zone wall. So when I saw black on the wall on both construction cams, I thought it might be that.

I view the construction cams many times throughout the day. I'm going to have a lot more time in my hands when the stadium is finished, lol.

I never saw any such debate. But there isn't one: NMS is a pure football stadium. It's multi-purposeness is based on what else can be done inside a facility made for football. It's dimensions, seating layout, seating depth, seating orientation, all of it is based on football.

They have said nothing about allowing that. Sounds like a fan wish that's not feasible to implement.

Yes, mostly fan talk, but I think they also mentioned they were looking into something like that at the preview centre.
