I'm not sure what their motivation is. I havent heard about any security issues, but a lot of people do walk their dogs on that property and a few probably don't pick up after them. It could just be a continuation of the restoration, though... was there a fence in the past?

That's pretty big for that lot they may be duplicating square on fifth downtown for GSU students. If so then bravo.

I mean I have no idea what site you are referring to.

Damn at least I can see the sign says "Green Food".

MARTA apparently will begin talks tomorrow with Cousins for TOD at Arts Center Station.

EDIT: Eviva would have been an amazing project for that lot...the massing is great and it has good street level presence. I just don't believe it will happen anytime soon though. Integral may have been way over their heads with this project considering they've only been doing midrises up until now.

Hmmm I was hoping there was traction. Loopnet updated their page on 7/25/2016. Not sure what the changes were, but have it as a 32 story project and have the same image up.

I'm ready for more wow factors in the midtown market. Lots of bland infill going up. Even SLS and 1138/Yoo, while the effort in design is appreciated, don't go too far outside the box.

Yeah a 3' fence is pretty short so I don't think it's a security issue...if so it would be a lot higher. I was thinking the same thing about keeping people's dogs off the lawn because they would have to walk around the fencing to get inside...but who knows. I don't remember a fence there during my time in Atlanta, but there could have been one further back.

That would be an awesome development for that site...what's there now is pitifully ugly...it's a run-down dialysis place connected to a two-story parking garage painted orange on top to one side and a gas station on the other. A pathetic block all around for downtown, but it's right across the street from the GSU Commons I think.

I can't confirm this is new pic of Eviva, but Google image search is not showing any other pics of Eviva with a Sprint sign. Therefore, someone just uploaded this.

I would guess that this is one of their first renderings as it includes Sprint in Viewpoint and it's been quite awhile since they've been there.

I'll say this. Cartel Properties is the name of the company who currently owns the parking lot and is trying to sell it. I'm pretty sure someone would have found this rendering long ago if it was uploaded a while ago.

It's interesting that the company who owns the lot currently has the project on their website. I think that the rendering was made long ago(years ago), but the website probably just uploaded the rendering recently.

Still, I don't think this is indicative of the project starting anytime soon, but it probably is indicative that the project isn't dead.

Academy of medicine is putting up a fence because it is a Pokemon go gym.

By putting up a fence, they can keep people out. Lol
