It is great to see the interior progressing. It appears that they still have quite a bit of work to do though.

Wow! Great pics, Hali. Thanks for posting. Agree, it's looking fantastic. Another architectural landmark comparable to the new Central Library.

Looks like it was shot on top of the Argyle Fine Art building. I've never really thought of a major national company like KFC filming in Halifax before.

A low Canadian dollar is great for the film industry.

But I am a little surprised that they would haul everything over to Halifax instead of Montreal. I know that NYC has a fair amount of film studios, and that it is like 3 hours away. Oh well, more money for Halifax.

Something strange about that area - a couple of years ago I was watching TV and on one of the Boston stations was a commercial for Plymouth Rock Assurance, a Massachusetts insurance company. I was astounded to see a picture of downtown Halifax (sort of), screencapped below:

It was. It's part of their "Great Canadian Table" ad campaign they're working with now. They built a table out of chunks of wood from all across the country then carted it around and filmed in locations best representative of the places the wood pieces came from.

How does one get on the roofs of some of these buildings? I've always thought it would be pretty cool to get a rooftop view in downtown Halifax, or even go to the top floor of one of our office towers, is this typically allowed by just anyone?

Brings to mind Lucy and Ethel dressing up as workers to get places they were not supposed to go.
