The travel time is not bad on the Seabus, yet. I could see a Line going through North Vancouver being built. It could simply connect the Seabus Terminal to the other places on the North Shore. Lonsdale Quay could become what the Waterfront Station is today.

This makes a lot of sense to me. The seabus travel time is fine, it's just the frequency mixed with the bus connections that sucks. The frequency can be improved with more boats, and an E-W Skytrain on the north shore from park royal to phibbs area can take care of the transfers. High frequency on both sides and in the middle. No need to build a bridge.

Has a final decision been made on where trains coming off the Expo line will terminate before going back to rejoin the line at Columbia? I heard Lougheed but also University.

According to all the recent diagrams, Expo Line trains will turn back at Production Way-University.

They have 2 Mark II trains on the Evergreen Line in Coquitlam today for testing & commissioning. 201-202 and 203-204, in addition to the existing Mark I trains.

Are they running fully automated trains yet or just running them manually?

I checked the Evergreen Line construction camera website and found that one of the cameras had taken some pictures of test trains!

This one was taken at 11am today (looking North on Pinetree)

This one was taken at 10:30am on Pinetree (looking south)

They finished the track before the tunnel. The line was already physically connected more than a months ago.

By the way things are going right now, I wouldn't be surprised if it will be earlier than that

They'll open it Dec 31 and have free service that evening

They are actively finishing the tunnel section at the north portal where the TBM access was created. Lots of rebar and lots of concrete. Anyone know what is going to be left once this staging area is no longer required? I guess the site could be used for housing or a park.

They will restore the street that used to be run through that area.

Lately they are testing regular service both directions using 2-car trains every 6-7 minutes, with station stoppings, door open/close, etc. On the second image, there would be an eastbound train just left Coquitlam Central station

If they could open the Evergreen Line on December 11, then it would be exactly 31 years to the day (and if they could do the time) of when the Expo line opened.
