Funny French Canadian words:

Char, Poutine, Coupe Longueuil, Chambre de Bain (I'm only including this because every time I said it in France they corrected me that it was une toilette), foufounes, poupounes, depanneurs, tuques

Funny Anglo Canadian words:

Toque, Double double, Chesterfield, Give'r, Parkade, Hoser, Knapsack, Toboggan
This one is probably only exclusive to eastern Canada, but I've also heard Vancouverites refer to it this way: Hydro referring to all types of electricity.

Lol! Reminds me of when my cousin from Montreal stayed with us one summer and would drop the f-bomb in restaurants and everywhere in public. We had to let her know not to do that. She also had a habit of talking about people nearby in french assuming they couldn't understand. Again, we let her know there are bilingual people around and never to make that assumption. Personally I've had it happen before and been tempted to respond in french.

I feel like such a dolt. It's funny because I don't really know too much dirty slang even though I'm bilingual.

My wife always asks me french swears but I only really know the blasphemy ones. I know tits = des boules ou toton. Whore or slut = salop. It's sad I don't even really know the slang for dick. How embarassing...

queue and zizi are used all across the francophonie

Unique to us are graine and bizoune (another one of those -oune words we are famous for)

So I asked my mom what she calls blinds and she said des toiles. Then I told her about the Magasin du Store and she said 'oh oui. Les stawr'. Growing up I think she only said les rideaux or les toiles though.

"Les toiles" for "curtains" is a new one for me.
