Haha see, there you go again!! You don't hurt anyone's feelings, you just act so ignorant and I simply call you out on it!

Strange you can't remember our conversation and your comments "kissy kissy I wuv you" and "sorry I hurt your wittle feelings"....

I remember that since it was a couple of days ago, i just don't remember any previous conversations with you, nor your calling me out with specific recent examples.

I am currently on vacation in Niagara Falls, and judging by what I see people wearing and on signs, in stores, in the papers, etc., It is as though the Blue Jays were Toronto's only sports team... people in their gear are everywhere. I saw one middle school aged girl wearing a TFC jersey and one car with Argos license plates. One young boy in a Tiger Cats tshirt. That's it. An almost shocking total absence of Leafs gear or logos anywhere which is surprising given that a solid chunk of tourists here are likely from the GTA.

I realize that this is totally anecdotal and completely unscientific, but it is an interesting insight into the state of Southern Ontario sports fandom which is totally fixated on the Jays right now.

No Raptors? I was in the Greater Golden Horseshoe in the spring (when they were still in the playoffs) and the dinosaur was very visible then.

I am also always surprised at how visible Ticats gear often is in Hamilton and the immediate vicinity.

Yes, the Raptors are fairly well represented, mainly among the teenage boy crowd from what I can tell. There are more people wearing Jays stuff than all the rest of the Ontario teams put together, and likely then some, though. Last time I saw this was back in the early 90s Jays glory days. Little Ticats stuff despite being close to Hamilton... probably far more Toronto folks around here.

My apologies to the mods for wandering so far off topic here

Yeah, the Ticats' visibility really plummets very quickly as soon as you move out of Hamilton and its closest suburbs.

Even though all of Niagara and much of the SW Golden Horseshoe are closer to Hamilton than Toronto, even with the locals they are mostly focused on Toronto media so it's what they push that people will pay attention to.

Back on the topic of arenas - what's gonna be the first test event in the new Edmonton arena?
First event is a Keith Urban concert on Sept 16th

The pissing match between select posters can stop now. Let's keep it somewhat on Topic. Thx.

You're the one digging up a debate that's finished. For the record, my comment was in response to another anti-TFC post. .. [... Mod....]

The Leafs higher ups acknowledge that they've basically lost a decade+ of fans since the end of the Sundin era. You can see it in what people wear and what people are talking about. The team's reputation of being fundamentally hopeless runs deep in the minds of fans. That's why they've gone to such drastic measures to rebuild the organization top to bottom over the last two years. There will be a lot of skepticism until the on-ice results start to come.

Well, let's not get carried away. Although it does like it will be a really nice stadium.

Wow... still can't let it rest.

CFL fans have to be the most insecure and defensive fans I've ever come across.
