I always wondered about that. But do you just tell all the residents with cars to park somewhere else for the next nine hundred days? Rents would experience some downward pressure; I wonder how the leasing office would mitigate that. Maybe a "That Was Easy!" red rideshare call button in the lobby or something.

I went by Atrium Village yesterday. It looked like a little piece of the crane had been built - maybe a max of 10 feet. Not sure if they're just starting to do this or if they were doing it before and stopped.

Zev Salomon of Ranquist Development Group wanted to develop the project on the site of the Hermon Baptist Church , a 19th century church on Clark Street in Old Town. But he needed to buy the development rights on a site next door from the neighboring Kennelly Square condos, and residents of the building, some of whom would have lost their views, wouldn't sell.

"We're frustrated, but we'll move on," said Rev. Keith Edwards, pastor of the church, an African-American congregation that has tried to sell the building several times since 2012. "We thought we would get more support from the community for our move, but it's not coming."

Salomon confirmed he wanted to build a 12-story tower with 11 condominiums priced from $2 million but last week withdrew his proposal after it was opposed by the Kennelly Square board. As a result, the church is going back up for sale.

Though residents in neighboring buildings don't typically have veto power over proposed towers nearby, they did in this case because Kennelly Square owns the air rights Salomon needed to build his tower.

What the hell are you talking about? Did you even read the article or anything I quoted from the article? Obviously you didn't or misread it. They denied it because they thought that building a 12 story building in that location would make the area too "crowded" with high rises.

This had nothing to do with price.
