That's because it wasn't located inside of Cathedral. Otherwise, it'd go before a committee to have it declared a heritage site!

Where is the North Central facility? Is this the one to replace Scott that starts with M but I don't know how to pronounce?

Yes, that's the one. Mâmawêyatitân Centre ...a Cree word for “let’s all be together”.

As per Regina School Board web page:

Is one of the new classes on the curriculum "How to pronounce 'Mâmawêyatitân'"?

LOL. Listen to Creeson Agicoutay pronounce the name at the 30 second mark on this CTV Regina News report.

It sounds to me like mama-way-tittan

The minutes for last week's RPC minutes were finally posted. As predicted the 13th and Elphinstone proposal was not approved, contrary to the recommendations of the Planning Dept.

This is a pretty rare occurrence. No less than 14 delegations spoke to this tiny proposal, almost all NIMBYS. Remind me never to invest in commercial property on 13th.

The existing commercial strip there would be ultra low rent and I bet a hemp emporium and vape shop would do brisk business and attract just the sort of crowd we want around the elementary school.

I'm hoping council still says yes.

This project being stalled by NIMBYs like this is scaring away investment

Doesn't surprise me. This is the same council which ignored the planning dept's recommendation not to give the north end P3 school to Rosewood Church and did anyway.

I really hope that some more candidates come forward for the municipal election this fall.

SaskPower has indefinitely postponed their warehouse at the GTH. They spent $25M on a 1/4 section of land, but have cancelled plans to consolidate some offices and warehouses there.

Sounds like SaskPower is planning on building a Natural Gas Facility in Swift Current instead. Sounds appropriate to build a power producing project instead of an office facility.

Anyone hear what the plan is for the south Albert Co-op and the A&W next door? I'd heard the A&W is going. Today the pumps are gone at the gas station.

It can't come soon enough. That's the Co-op I usually go to and it is usually quite crowded as well as the dangers of way too many people driving the wrong way down the North-bound lanes of Albert to access it instead of going down a block to make the legal u-turn.

So it looks to be very similar to what they built in Harbour Landing.
