Long time lurker, haven't posted in a long time, probably years, but hey this is big news, so here goes.

So, my prediction is 485' for the new tower. Taller than the Weston Centre by a decent amount. Those predicting a 600' tower will probably be disappointed. But still not bad and still a skyline changer. Predict it will some type of decorative crown somewhat like the Frost Austin. Will have several colors in design to make it unique to SA. Won't be strictly brown. Will be a signature tower, just not as tall as some would like.

Wish they could do something like the RSA battle house tower in Mobile, AL with the huge crown rising way above the actual roof height.

I've said it previously, but this tower will neither be San Antonio's new tallest nor break 400'.

How could it NOT break 400' as much as this thing has been talked up as some type of signature tower. Are we really to believe it will the height of Bank of America tower and shorter than a Weston Centre. I don't see any way it's less than a Weston tower.

Being a "signature tower" doesn't require the design to have a specific height.

Do we even need another 350 foot tower. I would almost just as soon as they not the thing if it's going to be 350 feet as long as this thing has been talked up. I can live with a 400-450 footer, but won't be happy. I believe it will be between 450 and 500, which is why I predicted 485.

A 350 footer will do basically nothing for the skyline.

Oklahoma City, a city barely over half the size of SA built an 800 foot tower. What is wrong with this city.

In regards to the Devon Tower in OKC, oil and energy money can afford you an 800'+ tower.

I've been lurking on this site since 2010. Decided to finally sign up. My guess is 535 feet. With a crown. Making it taller than its sister in Austin. Big thanks to those posting new updates on this thread. May this be a sign of bigger things to come for the Alamo City!

Don't fret, it will break 400 feet.

Tomorrow can not get here soon enough.

I'm curious as to what you're basing your definite guarentee that it will be over 400' on...

There's really no need to, again, go over my qualifications pertaining to my knowledge of certain real estate developments.

I'll leave it at that.

Though, I think the rest of us are curious as to how you came about your figure/claim.

At first glance I wasn't really thrilled at what I saw but after looking at it a bit more it will look good on the skyline. To me iconic is the Tower life building which to this day is still one of the most iconic skyscrapers in Texas.

While I like the design and think it could inspire more deviation from the architectual norm, I've gotta say, I'm really surprised at it only hitting 6th tallest in SA. I knew it probably wouldn't be more than 500' (given the square footage), but 400' really disappoints me. Especially with all the hype that had come with it.

But alas, here's to a taller building in future years

Most definitely the bigger ones are coming!
