Looks like Telus Sky will go along nicely with the wood park they are building at the lot of the south bow building.

It looks like the wood park is a good place to get slivers in the place "where the person meets the saddle" - if they dare sit down on those wooden benches.

If you are getting slivers in your ass from those benches then they must be in really rough shape already.

Well, the folks saying the site is messy won't be thrilled with the stampede lunch going on right now, complete with a bar band kranking out the hits of the late '70s in the white tent on the right.

Yeah - bring your leather britches - so you don't get the slivers and don't forget your weiners & buns to have a weiner roast - using the bench wood for fire wood.
Oh yes - bring a guitar for singing campfire songs - to enhance the atmosphere

Good news is this one's a full floor above grade - should be a lot more interesting to watch rise than Brookfield Place.

Unfortunately you are incorrect. The height increase from the initial 221 to 222.3 meters is all we will see for this one I expect.

Enjoy it TallBob. Sadly I fear this may be the last 200m+ building Calgary sees go up for a while.

Mr Big Stuff:

While some of the unique angles provided by the stylized benches may seem to offer interesting opportunities, I do not think the intent was for them to be used for sex.

Sorry, - that was misconstrued - sex wasn't even on my mind when I put that up on the thread. It was a safety issue.
Good to see the Telus Sky tower on the march now.
It will be interesting to know how many cubic yards of concrete will be in this building - when all is said & done.

Sigh of relief? Columns poured for a good portion of the second floor.

Every time I pass by this site on the train I expect to see concrete peeking above the hoarding, to no avail. It seems to have been going very slow since getting to grade. Hopefully it picks up from here on out!

For a while but not forever. I'm confident that in 10 years time things will be much different. 10 years goes by quickly.
