Actually I'm fairly certain that the dark grey parts of the window are temporary. I walked by there earlier today and one of them has "peeled" off revealing wood behind it. Yeah, I'm confident that they are just waiting for window orders to be filled. Can any construction workers verify?

Rising nicely. And I'll say it again, most of the people in Trump tower thread that are calling it great now and say it looks amazing are people that when they started putting the first windows in, said it looked ugly and they were greatly disappointed in it.

Just wait until it is done.

I think I saw Yellow Fever take those pictures. I was giving you a weird glare.

I think it's turning out quite good as seen in person too. Materials aside (which actually look quite sharp on the condo portion), the massing, articulation, height, and numerous mixed-uses really set this building apart. It's a transformative development for the area in any case.

I saw that. I'm pretty sure it's a broken spandrel panel.

Hotel portion topped out today. They added in the crown. The larger tower is now 5 levels above the hotel.

Looks so tall now...pretty soon, it'll over take central city to be the tallest in Surrey.

Seems like they're around the floor that'll be officially numbered as 28.

Yeah, double the existing chunk of residences and stick a few more maintenance floors to top it off.

This thing looked tiny as an excavation/foundation, but is now growing into a monster. The full height should provide a slender counterpoint to the wide base.
I haven't been there for a while (I need to go in to City Hall for work sometimes) and am curious as to how much it reduces the feel of the plaza, and the scale of the library and City Hall building.

Starting to make its mark in in the Surrey Central skyline. Photo from the very top of Metrotown, some 14 kilometers away.

This is not the best angle of the skyline, as several towers get lumped together, but it's still pretty cool. One thing that is easy to note is that there is a risk of a tabletop skyline emerging, although 3 Civic Plaza will strike out as a taller landmark. Still, more variation in height would be nice with more towers in the 150-meter range.

There should be some variation amongst the next wave of towers in the application stage right now. 35-40 storeys seems to be the new norm though.
