Yeah, I keep forgetting about that tower and with the height increase it is almost as tall as E Condo. Will be the tallest non-suburban, non-downtown node in the country when everything is complete.

The Yonge and Eglinton skyline will be unrecognizable if even half of the 30+ storey proposal see the light of day and there's a new one every few months. Not sure if it will be the tallest non suburban, non core skyline in the country or North America. I'm not even sure what that means. The GVRD gets the short end of the stick though.

Has the Yonge & Eglinton area always been part of the old City of Toronto? Or was it also a suburb way back in the past?
I assume that Etobicoke is a suburb, and not originally part of Toronto.

Yes, it was part of the old city in the Metropolitan Toronto plan. Etobicoke was originally a borough. It incorporated during the 1980s following Mayor Mel's footsteps. It was never an autonomous suburb.

So, yeah, Burnaby doesn't really fly I guess however, it's still some askew stat up like the tallest building between Calgary and Winnipeg.

Yonge and Eglinton is not a suburb and it's not a part of downtown Toronto (although very close - like 5 minutes away). The tallest suburban skyline will go to Etobicoke with a 230 meter beast going up now..

I remember when Toronto's border was just south of Lawrence. Driving north one entered "North York, The City With Heart".
