But seriously, they could frame in some office space or boardrooms so there is privacy. In my current cattle pen config, only the HR manager and other office type manager have closed in offices. The rest are open cubes.

My understanding is that the design of the HVAC systems in Hydro Place are such that fully enclosing a space would not possible. It is a big lesson to be learned going forward for TNSE or anyone else. Imagine TNSE Square having the lawyers as a lead tenant only to find they can't move in due to a design issue with the space similar to what happened with Hydro!

PCL is also relocating the east side fencing to take over one lane of Hargrave. Not sure what will happen to the taxi parking in front of the Shark Club

I am thinking its the new loading area for the tower crane. The trucks come in the south and go out the north end. Sort of like what happened a few blocks north with the Glass House.

TNS is taking over one full lane on Hargrave PLUS a couple of inches of the next lane. Cars will be queued behind bikes. They also damaged the only piece of road in this town that was in one piece. They drilled holes into it!

It was only in good condition because True North repaved it as part of building the MTS Center. I was caught in the repaving where the contractor restricted access to that block off of St. Mary, but apparently was not aware that the City Place parkaid exited on that street and they were doing hot paving when everybody was coming out of work for the day. Dozens of cars coming out in the middle of asphalt pavers and finishing rollers are not a good mix.

I am sure that TN will again fix the pavement as part of the site cleanup once the fencing comes down.

Did you know. Fun fact for the day. ICYMI.

Engineering crews typically will drill core samples in relatively fresh concrete to do testing. Ensuring compaction, materials, etc are up to spec. For sure on highway projects. Both asphalt and concrete, when it's brand new. They patch it and no one really ever notices.

I think I have seen what your talking about when the mudjackers have patched their holes.

On this pavement though I would not be surprised to see it get the gate post holes patched and the rest roto milled and and new TBO put on it just because I think the weight of the Jersey Barriers for a year to two will play havoc with the pavement.

Not sure it has been said here but the gate on TNSE Square says Phase 1 has a target opening of summer 2018.

Yup 2018 for phase 1. Then the debated phase 2 had a timeline of 2019. No word on Sutton Place.

Ya, basically the same thing for different reasons.

The road should be okay with a couple small holes. But you're right, if the barriers sit there for a few years, they'll probably damage the asphalt. Hot summer days are the worst. Concrete wouldn't be a problem.

Looks like crews pushed out the site fence onto Carlton as well. Maybe you're right cllew. Those areas could be used for unloading materials and the crane itself. Looks like the tower crane should be able to reach the street on Hragrave at least, for picking steel ,etc directly from trucks.

I saw that too on Carlton, maybe doing the same thing for future tower crane #2 while the Wallace and Wallce fence guys are on site.

And 4 concrete trucks in the latest photo. I don't see them pouring any caissons. So must be going into the crane base.

I beleive they are pouring a caisson from this image^ (12:03pm)..but the trucks are lined up ready to pour..

Oh crap you're right. Forgot they were drilling there for the last couple days. I thought they were standing around the clam shell style concrete bucket the cranes use.

There is a concrete pump truck on site now. I would assume to get down into the hole for the crane.

^ yeah, see it now pumping crane,uses the concrete trucks eventually, they're pouring a few cassions on site, maybe the last pour for the day..
