I have over/under on gallery reopening at March 2020. It's a bummer, gallery being closed makes that whole part of CC a dead zone

The sepia photo quality just accentuates the shameless schlockiness.

What a view. How'd you like to own a house across the street from that?

Ugh. There is just some tremendously bad architecture going up in University City. It's a shame, especially with how viable the area is for longterm development. Hopefully some of what's going up now to accommodate students can be torn in 25 years and replaced with better developments.

UCHS has sought an injunction to prevent demolition of 4046-4048 Chestnut Street.

A full hearing is set for June 23, where we will find out the fate of the building.

As someone who has lived in UC for a long time I say why wait. Get the demo started today.

This is the same developer that rehabbed the Croydon, right? He was in the GCCA meeting on Thursday and alluded to something going there, but did not give out details.

Looks pretty good. Can't tell from article or rendering, but if it has street level retail I'd give it a solid B+. Nothing architecturally spectacular, but should be a great addition and seems to have a really intelligent site plan.

This is truly one of my most despised parking lots in the city, passed by likely 100s of thousand of tourists every year, this will be a big improvement.

I was wondering if anyone knew more about the Reading Viaduct Project? Are there any parts of the Viaduct that have been completed or is this something that's still just in talks?

Phase 1 is supposed to start construction this year.

How coincidental! I was in there yesterday, and couldn't help but notice that the mall underwent tremendous change! I haven't been to Franklin Mills since I was living in West Philly between 2002 and 2006 (maybe sometime in the 2010s as well, but I can't recall). I did not know that such an investment has been made there, but it looks great! I would have taken pictures if I would have known about it.
