At the Galleria across 285 (they're building a pedestrian/shuttle bridge) or paid parking in the Battery ATL development where there will be a multitude of ramps but probably expensive. There are several season ticket lots, so buy a season ticket!

Parking won't be so much of a problem, but getting to the stadium for a 7 pm start in wall-to-wall traffic will be. That is probably the number one concern of fans at the moment.

That was true of Turner Field, there was nothing to do other than be at the ballpark so people tended to clump up at once. At least this place has a myriad of things around it to do, eat, shop that will entice many to come early that can. I know if I had some time to kill, I'll just head over there at 3 or 4, get a table somewhere, have dinner, a few drinks and wander over to the stadium at game time. Maybe do a little of the same after.

OMG, You are so correct!!! This board seems to have such resentment to going to Cobb...trust most people that actually go to the games will definitely have an overall better experience. And it kills me when people act as if since they moved to Cobb, they'll no longer go to a Braves game. It's so small-minded. It's literally within 15 miles of Turner Field. It's still the Metro Atlanta area. Excuse me for the rant....but rarely do see any rational statements. Thanks!!!

Is it that small minded? Suntrust Field is inaccessible by transit... I have no interest in sitting in traffic to watch them lose another game. At least with Turner Field you could ride Marta to the game and avoid traffic. I am glad its leaving the city though so that the traffic hellhole of a braves game will be gone and the burbs can deal with all that.

Speaking from one who actually goes to the games...people housed transit to Turner Field, used the Shuttle. There will be a Shuttle to SunTrust Field.

I have yet to see an actual map with headways, fleet description, etc

The only games I'd ever go to in Cobb would probably be 1pm Sunday. But they have the stadium facing south, so the sun would be a problem for batters and fans at that time of day

They placed the last piece of steel on the ballpark. It was a crossbeam that will hold lights in place on the canopy in left field/3rd base side. Right now they are building something in the middle of the outfield that isn't staying there but I have no idea where it is going and why it couldn't be built where it's final resting place is.

Anyone guess what it is?

I've been wondering the same thing. I assume it's an addition to the "buildings" in the outfield. They've done this before for a lot of the Chop House and other structures.

Seriously, I was implying that the masses of people that decide to take transit to the stadium, used the shuttles via the Marta train.

New renderings on the SunTrust website but no press release yet. Looks like the structure in the outfield is going to become the Home Depot Clubhouse.
