DPD is stretched pretty thin. If you listen to the scanner on any given Thursday, Friday, or Saturday they have trouble keeping up with all the high priority calls. If your call isn't "in-progress", you will have to wait for hours.

The numbers back it up - the number of officers has dropped quite a bit despite the population increase.

They have the manpower to do this. They could maybe devote some of it for real crimes.
