The water interruption is in conjunction with the New Brunswick Department of Infrastructure who are currently working on the widening of Elmwood Drive, which requires an installation of an isolation valve north of Ogilvie Brook.

Some of the equipment is quite far from the road, although I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

There is a new building planned for the NW corner of the Harrisville/Veteran's Highway interchange:

This is the location. It will be in behind the Fairfield Inn by Marriott.



The render shows that one of the tenants will be Cora.



I wonder what this might mean for the existing Cora location on the corner of Dieppe Blvd and Champlain???

Lots of clearing happening on Frenette Ave in the Caledonia Industrial Park. Both sides of the road have been almost entirely cleared from Parsons to Urquhart Ave. This is probably just to make it more attractive to developers, but who knows?

The first building in the UdeM francophone nursing home project on Morton is now at four stories. Work is progressing quickly.

They actually started to build one more and the foundations for another one has been poured this week. I think they're doing quite well on their schedule.

I drive by on my way to work each day, you are right. I am not convinced that the work being done is actually for the Commercial development but rather a location to hold the gravel and material as they expand Elmwood drive to a 4 lane, but who knows for sure.

That work is not for the retail development. It's for widening the road. Not sure why it stopped but I was glad this morning when I had to drive through there.
I suspect they'll be at it shortly. They've already built most of a bypass over the brook which will allow them to replace the existing, inadequate culvert without traffic.

I see that Lewisville Baptist Church (corner of Pleasant & Mill Rd) has a for sale sign up. Apparently they are moving to a new building on Storey Rd (same neighbourhood).

Just an update on the UdeM nursing home project.
Today there was three cranes on site and it looks like there's another foundation to the right of the main building ready for structural work.

The only spot I can think of would be beside the elementary school, Arnold H. McLeod. The other end has a graveyard and the middle is all residential.

Has anyone heard the rumors about the Kubota dealership relocating from Salisbury to Harrisville Blvd? My father was in to the store in Salisbury a couple weeks ago and said that they were moving because the costs of their current location were going to go up drastically. I can't remember the exact reason for the increase but this might be another company waiting on the Costco announcement.

In the agenda for this month's PAC meeting was a request for clarification for whether a tractor dealership was substantially similar to an auto dealership as far as zoning requirements were concerned.

This clarification however had to do with the old Subaru dealership next to Rallye Chrysler on Morton Avenue. Maybe this is related? If so, I find this an unfortunate situation. The loss of Kubota in Salisbury would be a relatively big hit for the village. I take no comfort in seeing Moncton prosper at the expense of surrounding communities........

And tractor sales are probably not the best type of business for an area that is seeing a lot of decent projects.

That property will be opening as Morton Auto - a used dealership for higher end cars and some recreational equipment, tractors etc. I believe they will be open by July.

Anyone have any idea what is happening at 78, and 99 Elmwood Drive. Also in behind the Hall's Landing apartments at 125 Lewisville Road it looks like they are surveying for a new apartment building.
