I really hate minorities. They never make the tough decisions that are inevitably necessary. They just kick the can down the lane. Everything they do is hyper political and short term.

Uhhh, some of us actually think Winnipeg is a great city and are looking to make it even greater.

Man, some people are effin' snobs.

Is this another example of Pallister's indifference regarding downtown.

The federal Conservative party is heavily involved in the Manitoba PC campaign. Hence, you will see the Harperite tactics of limiting participation in debates so as to limit the damage Palliser can do to himself on issues where he doesn't look good, and limiting press contact. You will also likely see heavily choreographed "public" events that just happen to be populated by supporters. You may have noticed that Calgary MP Michelle Rempel has been assigned to do a running twitter critique of Selinger.

Liberal leader wants to spend road infrastructure money on new daycare spots. “We need to proactively be investing in our province and it can’t always just be roads and highways. We have to be investing in social infrastructure as well”

She has previously announcing spending money geared for infrastructure on culture. So under liberal leadership expect less spending on the provinces road network.

^ She may have a point, the road network is a bottomless pit. The NDP spends like an order of magnitude more on roads than the Filmon government did and people still aren't happy.

That's because they're only beginning to catch up. Our roads have an average age of about 25 years. It used to be over 30 years. Ideally with our climate it should be 10.

New West negotiations begin

Quote:
Manitoba is in talks with Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia to join the New West Partnership trade agreement.

It's among the first moves made by Conservative Premier Brian Pallister after his election last month.

Pallister says he hopes Manitoba will formally sign on to the agreement within his first 100 days in office.

Well, some immediate movement by our new provincial government.

I'm not going to bring up the revised deficit discussion, common with new political parties after an election. ( It's hovering around $1 Billion.)..up by aprx: $350M from the last parties 17 year rule..oops I did..
