So the Canguy "birdie" poster was right about Ascent Midtown starting construction soon. Let's see if he's right about Eviva.

The article I listed is the only article I found that listed total stories. I do not know when the article was published. I haven't heard anything that would suggest the plant wall would be removed. Ascent's design is a pretty solid model, so I would hope they keep true to previous renderings.

Could this be related to 98 14th? This is an exciting time that offices are starting to be announced again.

Yeah the renderings on R2L no longer feature the same plant wall. Too bad, I loved that feature.

Hnnnngh! Could you imagine if both projects go during this cycle? The skyline would really change in addition to having a lot more residents and businesses in town.

Its listed on Google Fiber site which suggests they been working with Google Fiber at least in regards to the project.

Right, nearly an acre of retail square footage? Seems unrealistic.

Don't underestimate the power of Whole Foods' proximity to lure other retailers. Additionally I would think by this time 2 -3 years from now, every developable parcel on Spring and West Peachtree between 10th and 14th Street will be in some phase of construction.

I would love to see a Target or something in the Midtown core and another pharmacy north of 10th St.

I agree completely. That would be a dream. There is definitely a dearth of actually useful retail between 12th uptown. I realize parking may be an issue, but a pharmacy could fit well into either of the vacant spaces between 11th and 12th streets.

As for a target, that would be trickier given the space limitations and parking needs - maybe a grocery store is more realistic? Where do you suggest?

Bold prediction, although I agree the location makes plenty of sense. Handfuls of empty lots or smaller buildings, proximity to two MARTA stations, and just around a half mile walk to Piedmont Park. We're starting to have a more respectable core cannot wait until google maps updates and incorporates our new towers in 3d.

It's a really nice looking building, but it doesn't do a whole lot for anything besides enhance the Buckhead Loop skyline.

Has anybody on here driven by this lately? Several floors now have the infamous "faceted glass curtain wall system". I have to say, there is not nothing architectural about windows that look like they are about to fall out. Very disappointing...
