They should also do some kinda vibrant pixel art on the old facade to update it instead of those boring light grey panels that will be replacing the green panels with. Taking a simple mid century building and make it all grey, it just gives it that sad soviet look.
I've seen modelling that doesn't have the grey facade shown a few posts back. Instead, there was an arty glass face with either leaves or some animal. I can't recall exactly. Maybe I will need to go by the CBRE office in MNP again and check, because that's where I saw a model in their lobby with an art facade indicated.

And now they've opened up a third section.

At least they removed the obviously misplaced one next to the container.

Now those frame things have appeared on Robson Street near the alley. I wonder where they're going to be installed and what they're for.

And a view of the alley, looking pretty messy.

The treatment of the alleys could be really interesting, and hopefully set a tone for future upgrades to them in the city. Can't wait to see how they turn out.

I'm not holding my breath. It seems to be very functional alley, rather than pedestrian/commercial.

The water feature is functional now - the pipes look black so aren't too visible.
There are 3 jets about 2-3 feet tall in a slight diagonal compared to the planters.

********

Pics by me today - sliding glass doors/windows are in on the protruding steel bits.
It looks like they all slide to the outer edge to create a wide opening.

Spoke to a guy walking by and he said CIBC was moving into the area, so probably the corner retail unit (at grade).

Painted white.
They had antirust-coating before.

Darn, I missed that last redo to put in the black pipes. It looks good now. You have to look really close to even see the black pipes. I wonder if the planters were meant to be filled with water?

Looks good. You can't really see the plumbing with the water moving

Okay, I guess the jets are shorter than I thought.

Hopefully they can get them higher (to remain visible) when the plants grow taller and denser.

You could probably make that into a habitat - for toads, frogs, etc.

Maybe the water jets were higher before and they're trying different levels. If they were higher then that would explain why the planters filled with water, and I'm not sure that's the way they're supposed to be. I really wonder how those plants are going to thrive in that shade.

Meanwhile, I'm wondering what they're doing up on the podium roof. I think I see those frame things that I've been wondering about.

Here's a look at how some of the windows are getting some shade.
