Even a stand similar to what they had in the north end but retractable would do the trick. Nothing extravagant. Would probably have to move the scoreboard back a couple metres though. Its up there pretty tight against the cfl endzone.

Why couldn't they build into the scoreboard legs? or more so around them and under the screen iself? 2 levels, one permanent for both CFL and MLS that ends at the CFL endzone and then a lower retractable level for TFC? It's not like the north side patrons were ever really that close to begin with.

then you'd have poles in the middle of the stands and blocking peoples views who sit behind the poles?

doesn't take much to disassemble the scoreboard and move it a couple metres back

they replaced it last year.

Also kurt larson wrote an article for the toronto sun. In it he said mlse ran out of time in building a more permanent north endzone. Said there will probably be tiered party decks built in the future. Guessing the lower level tier would be removeable for cfl games.

2) Why does the north end look so empty?

It’s going to remain fairly empty. TFC is selling standing-room-only tickets where the CFL endzone will be. Plastic squares have been laid over top of the Argos’ artificial turf end zone. Truth be told, MLSE ran out of time to improve the north end. They’ll likely add party decks in the coming seasons and more amenities. There are also two sets of temporary premium seats near the corner flags.

-5) How much Argos signage will there be?

Not much on MLS game days. An area beneath Section 104 — where the Argos dressing room is housed — is painted blue. Also, an Argos banner will sit atop the northwest super column, facing the Gardiner Expressway. While it won’t happen this season, Argos signage might also adorn the southeast corner of the stadium, facing the south parking lot.

Answers Alot of questions. I'm a firm believer that the Argos should receive the same recognition as TFC in BMO. however this can be handled really well the same way the Giants and Jets coexist in metlife. A day after a TFC game leading up to a CFL game it becomes the Argos Stadium and a day After that game leading up the the MLS game it becomes TFC's again. I think all respective teams Stuff should come off the walls while the other is playing. Blue lights become red visa versa

They should just have some massive banners in that North end for TFC. It looks terrible just open like that.

You need that area clear as that North end is the only entrance to the North-West section of the upper concourse. If Seats were to retract then some type of compartment would have to built under those raised stands which would impact space.

There really is not a lot of room there. This is why the solution is tricky. Fire code regulations hamper things also as the chief gate for the stadium is in the in opposite corner towards the east and because of the massive pole for the roof this has impacted the required spacing for fire regulations. This was the main reason they had to gut most of the animation and food stands that used to be present on that north end and why it is mostly empty now.

This is just the latest phase of expansion/development. They'll be continuing work on the facilities well into June (when the pulley system is complete, allowing for supporter-created displays that can be unfurled from the roof). Further development of the North End has already been confirmed. Expect many new tweaks and expansions in the years ahead. Yes, I said supporters, not fans, they are different types of support.
