Michael Sabia said that the fare structure should be fully integrated with other transit agencies if the area, and that you'd be able to transfer from the new LRT to the metro or to buses pretty much seamlessly.

It will definitely be fare integrated, but simply not operated by the STM (since the system will go to Brossard and Deux-Montagnes, the AMT/RTM would be more appropriate).

The AMT will be dismantled. It will be replaced by the ARTM and the RTM. The Réseau de transport métropolitain va s'occuper de l'exploitation du transport collectif, et l'ARTM la planification. La RTM va avaler les CIT. Il y aura donc seulement 5 organismes de transport dans le Grand Montréal, ARM-RTM-STM-STL-RTL

On peut donc dire que la RTM aura tous les transports du réseau métropolitain sur une seule carte.

the REM is run by La Caisse, Quebec pension fund autofinancing transit project. À chaque fois qu'on utilisera le système, nous aiderons à payer notre propre fond de pension.

Valley Line LRT construction officially launched on April 22 with a groundbreaking ceremony at the future Muttart Stop. Mayor Don Iveson was joined by federal Minister of Infrastructure and Communities Amarjeet Sohi, Alberta Minister of Transportation and Minister of Infrastructure Brian Mason, and representatives from Edmonton's Indigenous communities, the Valley Line Citizen Working Groups and TransEd Partners to celebrate this exciting milestone.

The City formally welcomes P3 partner TransEd Partners to the Valley Line project. TransEd is responsible for building, operating and maintaining stage one of the line for the next 35 years.

I'm an environmentalist lefty, but these people are insane. They say the LRT is going to "destroy the river valley" as an "ecological resource." In reality they are just selfish nimby's willing to hold up a project that will bring people closer to nature and reverse the horrendous damage that the automobile has done to this city and its environment for the past 50 years.

I'd like to know if this project is being built with no government financing other than the transfer of land. If that's the case it's something the rest of the country should definitely look into.
