He would be the first to rebuke TNS. He would have immediately dismissed it as not probable, realistic, the economics of it do not work, etc.
Regardless of the project, he attacked it. I lost interest in his thoughts because according to him, nothing was feasible in Winnipeg. I call that BS. Smart he may be, I was not buying a lot of what he was trying to sell.
So many developers will try to maximize profit beyond what is acceptable by attempting to use the cheapest materials, and will try to justify it anyway they can, and they will convince the city of that. They can go to Hell. The few developers we see building appealing projects can be saluted, and the city can continue to demand better designs and materials.
In terms of negativity, go look in the mirror and chant whatever makes you positive. It is not negative to want to see better designs in Winnipeg. To accept mediocrity may be work for you, but that will not be embraced and celebrated by those of us here with higher standards.
