Well, perhaps... Has anyone heard any concrete proposals for The former Osborne Village Hotel Site?
A hotel between 6 - 12 floors with much visually appealing retail / restaurant space @ ground level would be ideal.

I don't care what's on top. As long as they bring in retail of some sort. But a classy hotel that fits in to the coolness of the village would be nice.

The 8.8 foot wide parking spots are unacceptable. If you use a wheelchair you will need 2 spots to park your car or van.

Yup. Those Prodema panels failed everywhere all across the world. Looks like hell. Investigating their replacement right now. Brutal. They were expensive. Supposed to last 100 years.

They are real wood laminated into a polymer. They are beautiful but the technology failed.

Corten steel is awesome. It's the perfect building material. Cheap. No maintenance. Alive. I'm quite happy with place Louis riel.

Never noticed the holiday inn likeness. Could be the Chinese rendering.

Working through the process. Development is not easy. Numbers don't work easily. Hopefully it happens and doesn't get completely stripped.

Seems like a lot of these products fail to live up to what was promised, lots of problems now with cement based siding as well, might have more to do with our climate than anything else!

I think it looks great. Way, way better than before. It's got very nice colour and texture and the circles are appealing.

Funny how tastes differ. It is unsightly. To enhance that portion of the building, something akin to the Woodwards redevelopment would have looked sharp and, well, new.

And yet that one looks like precast vomit to me. But I'm squarely in the "leave the Richardson Building alone" camp too.

This design would be acceptable for Regent Ave or Kenaston; not for the village. It is very sterile.
